How can playing with mirrors help learning?
Mirrors are a great way to help with exploration. Try putting a child in front of the mirror and explaining the relfection. Encourage identifying their features so they can identify their reflection.
While looking in the mirror encourage conversation and develop vocabulary. Describe the different parts of the face as you point to them on your face and their face.
A mirror is also a great way for practicing visual tracking. Make silly faces and encourage imitation or making their own face. Get siblings involved too for fun, bonding time!
