Special Needs Resources stocks an array of fun and interactive puppets for a number of reasons. This includes:
* A non-threatening third-party form of encouraging communication. A child may not want to share feelings with an adult, but might feel more comfortable talking through a puppet.
- Puppets allow the creation of a character, and some of those characters may share characteristics of the child interacting eg, Shy, awkward, loud, bossy, etc. This allows the puppet to be relatable when interacting with the child
- Imaginative play – where do the animals live? What do they eat? What are they like? What are their personalities like?
- Education – using puppets can be a fun way to share information about wildlife, animals and a variety of other educational topics.
